Greenbrier’s new teachers were welcomed on Monday at our annual New Teacher Orientation! Priscilla the Panther welcomed them to start the day prior to the group hearing from district leadership. Teams worked through the idea that Greenbrier schools are “building castles” each day in their work. To immerse the new teachers in our Greenbrier pride, history, and heritage, a tour of city hall was provided as the teachers heard from Mayor Sammy Joe Hartwick, followed by a tour of the City Events Center by Shellie O’Quinn, who shared what city resources and events were available to them. Each of our seven schools were visited, followed by even more information and support from several of our departments. The day concluded with the new teachers writing themselves a letter about their expectations, goals, and promises for the school year. We are so proud to have these great individuals join our team and are confident that the will do great things for students!
