Greenbrier Career Technical Education Programs hosted its annual fall Advisory Council meeting on September 10th. Many community partners from businesses, child care centers, Future Farmers of America, real estate agents, state government, and more, participated in the session. Our teachers were able to share about the growing number of CTE completers as well as the significant increase in technical certifications our students are receiving. Our partners shared the impact of students developing soft skills prior to graduating from high school that are necessities in the workplace. Additionally, the impact of our CTE programs being highlighted on social media as well as specific success stories of Greenbrier graduates who were CTE students were shared by other community members. The group discussed the increased opportunities for community service as well as possible internships. We’re excited about the ever increasing opportunities available for our students and community as new developments are underway. Thank you to Greenbrier for embracing and supporting all of our CTE programs.
