chair 3GHS art students of Mrs. Hall and Mrs. Harrod recently donated some of their work to the Children’s Advocacy Alliance’s Festival of Chairs, the largest fundraiser for CAA supporting the child victims of abuse and neglect.

Mrs. Hall’s students, Kylie Youngblood and Jessica Holt, chose Dr. Seuss as the theme for their bench. They felt that Dr. Seuss greatly contributed to and influenced children's literacy and illustration. His books are enjoyed by all, and hopefully the bench will also bring joy in its new home.

Mrs. Harrod’s students, Kaitlyn Hartman, Grace Oaks, Kailyn Graham, Marlee Vanover, titled their artwork “Stargazing.” It is Inspired by VanGogh’s Starry Night, and the students worked to create a modern interpretation of the classic artwork. Through deep blues and a touch of gold, they hope it’s new owners enjoy Stargazing.

These student leaders and artists are giving back to the community in a very unique way, and we appreciate them using their talents for such a great cause.
