Across the district during the 2017 Computer Science Education Week, students, staff, and community members came together to participate in “The Hour of Code,” a global computer science movement reaching millions of students across the world. As students learn computer science, simultaneously problem solving skills, logic, and creativity are nurtured. It is exciting to see Greenbrier students building their foundation for success in any future career path.
A wide range of coding activities were at the center of our Hour of Code events, including but not limited to participants coding their own games, Artist, Infinity Play Lab, Code with Anna & Elsa, Star Wars: Building a Galaxy, Minecraft, designing Google logos, and even writing computer programs.
Thank you to the Greenbrier educators who planned and facilitated the Hour of Code events across the district, and thank you to our community members who learned computer science along with our staff and students.
