Ms. Hamaker hooked her students into learning today with a treasure box! Students were so curious to find out what was inside during phonics time. When they finally opened it, they had to figure out what they all had in common. It was that they all have al as /o/ (short o sound) like in “salt!”

Students also played a vowel sound game tossing playdoh in the air based on the words they heard from their teacher. Last, they had to make a word that has al in it using playdoh. Some made ball, chalk, talk, and even walrus! #EESlegacy #GreenbrierProud
