Ready. Set. GROW! Springhill Testing Bash Gets Kids Revved Up for State Testing

Springhill Elementary School students were surprised to walk into the Springhill Speedway on Friday morning as they kicked off their annual testing bash. Students were cheered on by the "pit crew", which consisted of teachers and staff members waving checkered flags! Race car driver Dale Gordon was in attendance and gave a riveting motivational speech about how race car drivers prepare for tests, too. Teachers and administrators danced to "Life is a Highway" by Rascal Flatts after premiering the testing bash video. (Click here to check it out.) The event was wrapped up with confetti cannons and over 500 students and teachers dancing and cheering in the gym. What a way to end the week! We are excited to see how these students show what they know and GROW in the coming weeks during state testing. *Special thanks go to Jack Sullivan Racing in Greenbrier, Straight Line Transmissions and the Emberson family for their contribution and coordination of race cars and racers, Tires for Less in Greenbrier, and First Service Bank in Greenbrier.
