Ms. Summitt's Sugar Shake Lab

Students in Ms. Summitt's 4th grade science classes conducted a Sugar Shake Lab. In this lab, the students simulated how rocks breakdown when rolling down the mountain. The kid scientists shook sugar cubes in a plastic container, then they observed how the sugar cubes were breaking down. After their observations, they charted their data on their lab sheet. What an extremely sweet hands-on experience for kids to learn about weathering and erosion causing rocks to change.
