Greenbrier administrators and teachers recently collaborated to host an event aimed at promoting careers in education!
In Arkansas only 24.5% of secondary school teachers are male, and in elementary schools the number drops to 4%. Having a balanced staff provides the opportunity for students to learn from a variety of role models.
During the MENtoring Minds event male students interested in pursuing a career in education were invited to participate in classroom observations with male teachers from across the district. After the observations a panel of male teachers and administrators shared their professional journeys with students before answering questions about the field.
