March "Whatever It Takes" Award | Angie Miller
We are #GreenbrierProud to honor Mrs. Angie Miller with the “Whatever It Takes” Award! You never know what Angie Miller is going to do to bring next level engagement into her 7th grade science classroom. She is known for her creativity, out of the box thinking, and relentless pursuit to ensure her students get the best science instruction.
She can be found dressed up as an APE to introduce how to calculate subatomic particles from the periodic table or a wizard for chemical/physical changes. Her students benefit from incorporating multiple learning styles within her lessons to keep them moving, discussing, creating visual aids, and chanting. Mrs. Miller utilizes our model of instruction and evidence based practices and strategies in her lessons routinely.
She also pours into the GMS quiz bowl team. Whether it is hooking her students, bringing highly effective strategies in her lessons, painting root trees, or working with students in ICU, Angie Miller does whatever it takes with an undeniable energy and passion for students.
