Week 11 at GJHS!

GJHS’ 11th week gave us many reasons to be #GreenbrierProud of our students! To celebrate Día de los Muertos (the Day of the Dead), 9th grade Spanish students decorated cookies with brightly colored skulls. While decorating, students learned about the history and importance of the holiday which is used in the Hispanic culture to honor departed loved ones. Students in our Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter attended the Fall Leadership Conference where they listened to speakers, garnered knowledge about the organization's core values, and saw our chapter's leadership recognized with medallions. GJHS' own Student Leadership Council met this week as well to discuss and provide input on upcoming events. We ended the week with "incentive time" during Advisory to reward students for good attendance, appropriate behavior, and submitted work. #heartofapanther #strongertogether
