February Whatever It Takes Award | Megan Allen

Posted Date: 02/10/26 (10:41 AM)

It is with great enthusiasm that we present Megan Allen for the Greenbrier School District’s Whatever It Takes Award. Ms. Allen is the embodiment of our core belief that children come first, consistently going above and beyond to ensure every student receives exactly what they need to succeed. She regularly invests time outside of the school day analyzing student data, anticipating learning gaps, and intentionally designing instruction that explicitly meets the needs of individual learners.
Mrs. Allen serves on the Wooster Elementary School Guiding Coalition, where she leads with quiet confidence, humility, and purpose. She is a thoughtful critical thinker who respectfully challenges assumptions and encourages our leadership team to look beyond “the way things have always been done” in order to better serve students, staff, and families. Her insight consistently pushes our work forward and ensures that decisions remain centered on what is best for students. In the classroom, Mrs. Allen sets the standard for excellence. She maintains impeccable behavior and classroom management while simultaneously holding students to high academic expectations. As a member of the second grade math curriculum team, she plays a key role in developing instruction that addresses essential standards while also meeting the needs of diverse learners, including students with significant academic and behavioral needs.
While she rarely seeks recognition and tends to avoid the spotlight, Mrs. Allen’s impact is unmistakable. Within her classroom—and in the lives of her students—she shines every single day, truly exemplifying what it means to do Whatever It Takes for students.
